Chutney or Indian Sauce...

Hello dear all, The best thing to go with your Indian snacks - Idli (Steamed rice cakes) or Dosa (savoury pan cakes) is CHUTNEY. Traditionally there are a zillion types of chutneys that are made in Indian households & every house has its signature chutney...Im sharing a video tutorial of the simplest one, any beginner can try. Its loaded with good protein, all the goodness of fresh desiccated coconut & fibre. Hello dear ones, When food meets good intentions its a gathering, when the heart meets authentic flavours its celebration... Some basic questions that I do ask myself while making food choices: is it relevant to my lifestyle? is it replicable & sustainable? do i feel happy when I eat it?  most importantly is it nutritious & easily digestible πŸ˜ƒ While not all food may fall in this category, basic meals must, so I've turned to Idli's and sharing my version using black gram with skin and brow rice instead of the traditional de-skinned black gram & white rice. Here go the videos, happy viewing & making: STEP 1 :  STEP 2: STEP 3: Few points to remember: - 1 cup of black gram and 3 cups of brown rice must be soaked overnight . -to the black gram add 1 tea spoon of fenugreek seeds + cumin seeds - They need to be grind in a blender, to the blended thick paste add half a tea spoon of fresh ginger juice and leave it for 3hours

Our Body is a precious gift from nature and when we take care & nurture it, it shows... We look good, feel happy, our mind & emotions feel sorted, there is enthusiasm & joy to name a few. and eating is one of the most basic, important function to nourish our body. We have extensive research that now clearly points out that good health is maintained to a great deal by what you eat, 70% depends on your diet and only 30% on exercise. Many times with the best of our intentions, exercise, supplements we don't feel our digestion is good enough, since we are not just what we eat but what we absorb. Hello Dear ones, There is something about festive seasons, irrespective of the country... The streets come to life, there is so much excitement in air, the wind blows with a certain rhythm, the music from the shops is infectious... Dear Ones, "Opposite values are complimentary" said an enlightened MASTER & it took me many years to appreciate this knowledge. As much, as it is exciting to come up with that yummy recipe & click the perfect shot to post, knowing fully well that there were those disasters in the making, gives me confidence and strength to keep moving... So here is to all those burnt cakes, uncooked pan cakes, extremely healthy but largely rejected cookies...its these failures that are the stepping stones to wow moments in my cooking. Sharing some instances, enjoy & don't let a "not yet well made dish", define you... BURNT CAKE.. Nothing could beat this one...even the ants didn't bother to touch it, when left overnight... Lesson : Don't over Preheat the oven 120Degrees is just good for vegetarian & Vegan Cakes a the protein and binding agents cook faster :) GOOEY COOKIES... As my dear friend and I set out, with the most noble intention to make healthy energy bars.
